You can drive in Sweden, just don't expect to park.

So here's my gripe. Parking is such a huge hassle here that it begs for not having a car at all. It's prohibitively complicated and expensive and irks me to no end. That said, I realize that Sweden is way ahead of the States in minimizing their environmental footprint and this in part is how they are doing it, by making it easier to bring a bike than a car. It's still a hassle though.

There are sections of the States, Boston comes to mind, where it's just as bad. When I lived in the city I pretty much just resigned myself to the nightly parking tickets.
I'm with Funky Mama Bird. But I know what you mean, too. Europe is overall a lot more like that than the US.
